So the kids and I are enjoying having our daddy back. My "honey do" list is becoming much shorter. London is just on the brink of walking by herself but doesn't seem in a big hurry. She is just as sweet as can be unless you are trying to dress her then she turns into a screaming banshi. Sawyer is very imaginative and stubborn which makes every hour of the day interesting. I am just waiting for him to say "okay Mom today is the day when I will go pee in the potty and stop wearing diapers". Joel and I got to go on vacation last week to Island Park for two nights! It was really weird at first--- being alone with no kids but we got used to it after the first night. It was cold and rainy and so we played alot of games and watched 6 movies---7 if you count the imax movie we saw in West Yellowstone. Joel's sister was up for the weekend so we spent the weekend at his parents house. We stayed up in to the wee hours of the night playing Beatles Rock Band the first night. Friday we went to the movies --of course--(I don't think Joel or his family knows that there is other types of entertainment out there) We saw Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs--it was funny and very well done. Then Joel and I went to Spencer's game in Firth--Go Bulldogs! Saturday morning I put in some hours at work and then played Wallyball with Joel's family --it was so fun--I was mocked for my lack of athleticism but what's new? Then we had a Brauts and Beer party--without the beer. Sawyer was so cute with his cousin Tommy who is 6 weeks older. Tommy calls him SoyBean. It was a really fun weekend -- I love it when Heather and Jeff come up. It is going to be so sad when we only see them 2 times a year......

Muskrat Sally
My dad told me there was a song called Muskrat Love and that it was a hit. I didn't believe my dad at first....You have to see it to believe it!

Homebound!
Joel is on his way home finally!!! I am so excited for so many different reasons! Ü He can't really communicate on his 4 day journey home which is horrible because I worry like crazy. So all I can do is pray that he will come home safe and we can all be together again.....

Failed Attempt
So a couple weeks ago I decided that potty training would have to take a vacation. I have been living with my parents while Joel is gone and Soy hadn't been handling potty training well. He still had never gotten the pooping part down and even the peeing part had become a trial. When I would remind him to go he would throw a temper tantrum every time. It pushed me over the edge and I became a monster --well I already was a monster-- this whole potty training thing brought more anger and frustration than any other thing I have encountered thus far in my life. So it took my father coming to me and saying "Hey it's okay if you stop-- you don't have to keep doing this to yourself or your son.....he may be scarred if you continue." So with his permission and gentle guidance I quit. And Soy is now back in diapers and him and London wear the same size! Convenient. But I would definetly like to have no diapers in the house before we try for a next one! If I talk about getting pregnant someone please help me! Remind me!

Canning Spree
I have been on a canning spree the past couple of days because we got two laundry baskets full of pears from my Grandma and I just can't let them go to waste! So we've made spiced pear jam, raspberry pear jam (4 batches), and just pears....so far and we have used less than half of the pears! I love it. But I don't think my kids love it. It takes a lot longer when you have to stop to take care of the kids so I end up staying up late. I really miss having a camera....hopefully Christmas will come early this year.

Lynx Found
Hooray! Lynx lives! And today I found that the cats had put claw marks in my mom's leather couches......hmmm......why did I want to find her so bad? Oh yeah....Joel's "attachment". Anyway I've got soft claws on both of them now. Sorry Mom!
Sawyer is loving being at Grandma's and playing outside all day in the mud. I took them for a bike ride today and they looked so cute sitting next to eachother in the bike seat carrier. I am so mad I don't have a camera. Joel has a video recorder in Alaska--he better be getting some good footage! Oh yeah...other events that have transpired lately that I am not too proud about--London fell of the couch head first onto my parents concrete floor and the next day she fell all the way down the stairs.....yeah I am still sick about it. Soy still throws a fit everytime I mention going to the potty so he is digressing with potty training instead of progressing. I don't even like to talk or think about it anymore. But he is getting so smart and talking so well. It is so cute! I asked him if he wanted something and he said "sure" and he said today while my dad was fixing my bike "Grandpa going to fix mama's bike?" And he still loves to snuggle once in a while. I can't wait til I can snuggle with a man again though....I still have at least a month!!!
